BORNE nace en Cochabamba, Bolivia el 7 de Julio de 2012 con Christian Herbas (vocal), Cristian Torrez (guitarra), Willy Paricollo (batería), Diego Muñoz (guitarra) y Danny Salazar (bajo).
En mayo de 2012, Diego Muñoz entró en contacto con Christian Herbas a través de una página que este último administraba en la red social de Facebook. Ambos estaban en proyectos separados; Christian Herbas junto a Cristian Torrez, quién originalmente tocaba la batería, conformaban un proyecto juntos y Diego Muñoz junto a Willy Paricollo. Diego entró en contacto con un amigo más, Danny Salazar, quién conformó un dúo con anterioridad. Todos contaban con experiencia en el ámbito, resaltando también que contaban con la capacidad de composición y arreglo de sus propios temas. Luego de varias entrevistas, emprendieron el nuevo proyecto al que denominaron algunos ensayos después "Borne", haciendo referencia a las terminales de electricidad, como conductores de la música.
La banda se caracteriza no solo por crear temas originales, en diferentes estilos, sino también por la calidad humana de sus integrantes. Los intereses de la banda son: la música sana y sincera, componer, arreglar e interpretar temas originales y propios con responsabilidad hacia su público, con la sociedad y el ambiente en general.
